Today, I´m going to recommend all teachers and students involved in project DigiSkills to use Screencast-o-matic. This Web 2.0 tool lets everybody quickly create and host screencasts. Screencast-o-matic runs a Java applet and works well with mac, linux and windows machines. Additonally, I like the possibility to export each screencast to Quicktime.

Thanks for the pointer Hans! Until now I have been using CamStudio. Will try and give this a spin as well.
